Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actor who is employed in film and TV is well known for movies like Rush as well as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the only daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. At the age of sixteen, she had landed several television roles, for instance, the lead in the Downfall film Youth Without Youth Control. Her critically-acclaimed performance in the film made for television Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including the role of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge in the commercially and critically profitable Oscar nominated historical war film Downfall.
